After 11,000 miles my GTR has developed a clicking in the steering. (not the same problem Al had, since I dealt with that during the build)
I've determined the cause being the input shaft bearing in the steering rack is moving in and out against the snap (retaining) ring. Do I need to make and adjustment the the rack?
Can't reach the factory today.
thanks,
jeff

Bank holiday here today.
If it were me I would measure the float and make a shim to fit under the clip. Many steering racks have an adjuster at the back to take out any lash but not these it would seem.

Yes that takes out the rack to pinion play by pressing the rack against the pinion but that does not stop the pinion from moving up and down.
