Been there a couple of times recently. IIRC it used to be called Chats. Nice, upmarket bar with sofas etc. and good food. I had the Chicken and Ham pie which was very nice indeed. Well worth giving a go if you fancy a nice bar and some good food. beer

My Other half has a drink in there after work most fridays, she says it's very nice too. Although at £4.40 for a pint of Peroni i won't be drinking in there !
She said after they had left a couple of weeks back, Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole paid it a visit.

Used to be an 'orrible' pub, looks quite swanky now, will have to try it out (not that I do swank much)

There is a HUGE and (currently) free car park across the road, behind Dominos Pizza.

It wasn't that bad! OK the food wasn't brilliant, but not as pretentious and the Saturday night bands were OK.

Next time any of you are there and there's a handsome young bartender about, say hello to me!

If we popped in (and I'm only acrossthe road from you), is there some form of 'mates rate' on the beer?

I'll have to ask my boss about hosting a PH meet!

That said I've never seen anyone get discount drinks, no matter how well they know the owners... quite different from the last bar I worked in where I'm sure more free drinks were given away than were actually sold!

I reckon there must actually be quite a few PHers that frequent the place as there's always a good selection of metal pulling up... shame Chris Evans didn't bring one of the Fezzas a few weeks ago.

I'll ask PHer Sue (Mrs. Kinky) to ask Lily and David .... as they know each other wink

But some arm-twisting from the 'inside' always helps smile

FYI - you can see my house from the end of the bar yes
