mechanics in leeds

Hi,

Bought a silenced decat pipe the other day an trying to get it fitted as i have no tools/ ramps/jack.. just wondering if anyone knows of a good an cheap mechanic near headingley? Ive tried a few places, but they are reluctant to do it.. with excuses such as "oh thats illegal" even after explaining it isnt because of the age an its an import..which i find funny as these places where mot centres aswell!

How much should i expect to pay to get the old cat removed an the decat pipe to be fitted?

To be honest I'd just try the first place that you find. Make sure you supply them with the gaskets, and make sure you get your old cat back, and get them to ziptie the overheat sensor up out of the way.

Hell, if your not in too much of a rush you could even bring it my house and ill do it with you on the drive. Wont be this weekend but let me know if want to at some point, Im 20 minutes round the ring road from Headingley.

Michael might be able to help you out - he did some work on my Griffith aaages ago, not actually Leeds though, more like Batley, or Bingley, or somewhere! He came to me in Chapel Allerton anyway.

funnily enough I'm going to oxford this weekend via nottingham on friday. so might give them a call! how much should i expect to pay?
