Any advice or suggestion on buying an Infrared Temp Meter / Gun?

What temp range is good as it seem the more range (especially on the + side) the more expensive.

Depends on what you want to measure. Tire temperatures, exhaust temperatures, melting CATs or your blood when you get desperate with the engine??

Tiretemperature 40-120 C
exhaust up to 950 C
melting CAT up to 1600C
your blood only with laser
