Looking to get one for Christmas, any one bought one? what does everyone thing about them

Gambling that the negative reviews will mean sub release prices, either in the shops or on the Bay in a month or so.

Fancy one for the "xbox, dvd, play, make it so" couch potato thing, not the wii games

Brilliant. Thing is, if you pick your nose will it skip a chapter?

So what do the bad reviews say? Not as accurate as you'd like the motion detector to be? When I saw it advertised, I was quite impressed that you didn't need a controller of some sort. (Or is there a more subtle one?)

Me,(well other half paid for it) just got home from picking ours up. Just need to find somewhere to put it, as the shelf above the tv currently has a Vulcan there.

I wanted a Wii in the first place, but was over ruled and we ended up with the Xbox, so now at least I have something that I can do with the console.

The space required for one person to use isn't that bad. a 4ft by 6 ft square which is about 4ft away from the Kinect Camera is what I've been told. For most people that should be the space in front of their sofa...

However... it's much bigger for two people.

The girlfriend and I are going halves on this for eachother for christmas. I swear to god if she buys Kinectimals I will kill her...

Dont worry about reading the instructions, plug it in and off you go!

How long is the USB cable? My xbox is the other end of the room nearly for me about 10 meters

It's plugged in, it asked for the disk, so now its updating itself, not sure how long the cable is as I haven't needed to unravel it, but there looks to be a fair amount, but dont think it reaches 10m.

Ok, am playing the game that came with it, loads of fun so far, but can do without it taking pictures all the time!

So none of you were concerned about the fact the camera is always on, regardless of whether you're playing a game or not? Or that MS included in the latest ToS that they have the right to monitor you, through said camera, and pass on that information to whomever they deem fit?....

They can also scan your fingerprints off the power button.

Ordered mine off Play yesterday... doing the whole wait thing at the minute. I'll post my thoughts once it's come and got some use.

Little worried that i'll get a little less xbox time now the OH has this so it's bitter sweet.
