I've just started a new job, I was having a chat with one of my new colleagues this morning, who when they spotted my POTW background started talking to me about cars

Now apparently they used to Rally which I could believe, they then went on to tell me that one of their previous jobs had been testing for Braun F1 team and the Ferrari F1 team

Is anyone on here in any way connected with either team that could confirm or deny this? I'd just like to know as its very impressive to me if this is true, but ultimately I believe it to be fantasy and would like to know so I can take anything else that is said with a pinch of salt

The industry I work in, is in no way connected to Motorsport hence my suspicions and the fact that this person is female, which I thought would have hit my radar if there was a female F1 test driver

There is more testing then being a test driver

they could be testing something as dull as old engine oil

So she says she was a test driver for Ferrari and Brawn? That's BS.

Was she perhaps involved in the manufacturing and testing of certain parts and you got your wires crossed?

Brawn GP (Mercedes GP ) and Ferrari have never employed any female drivers in any capacity. She's a lying cow.

This was my thought too, it was when they said that they had to do some testing at 3am for Ferrari as they weren't meant to be doing any testing, that the BS detector really started ringing

I don't think they realised I have access to the biggest knowledge bank there is when it comes to Cars and Motorsport smile

If that's the criteria I've driven Williams F1 cars on a fairly regular basis.

I one had a colleague claiming to have taken part in a race I took part in ( unbeknown to them). I questioned them on the specifics. They provided details of my car, with my livery. Then they supplied a photo of me in the car. When I told them it was difficult to identify them from the photo provided, they gave me all the " all drivers look the same when kitted up sat in the car " line. I couldn't be bothered explaining the situation, lifes too short. He got sacked 2 weeks later for lying about an imaginary degree on his CV.

And at night I manage and play for Barcelona.

Easiest way to find out is to google her name along with 'racing' or 'motorsport'. You don't get to test F1 cars without being successful in top series, and there would be some coverage.

I think we should perhaps apply the Ronin test to this.

What colour is the boat house at Brawn?
