Unusual brake calipers on a german 993
Discussion
I saw a german shiny jet black 993 cab parked in South Kensington today, it had grey/gunmetal coloured brake calipers, the closest match would be 'Seal Grey', I have never seen these before, oddly enough though, an hour later i saw a 996 C4 with identical coloured brakes, anyone know what they may have been?, i guess the obvious answer is they are from the new 996's , though the same colour, they did look different. Anyway, they looked very cool complimenting the black paintwork very nicely.
Foxy Neon, on the subject of calipers I was gunna drop you a line as I remember you had expressed an interest in those 964RS jobbies of mine when I was umming & arrhing about selling or shoveing 'em on the bimmer.
Drop me a line if you are after 'em or I'll bung an ad in the classifeds.
(did just try & e-mail you this but got a bounce back mail- not sure if the problem was my end or yours)

I think your guess on them comming of a 996 is probably spot on I think Silver is now standard on all C4's Black on all C2's red on all with turbo running gear and yellow for PCCB.
However I belive from one of our continental cousins that you can order any colour as an exclusive option!

Standard caliper colour for 993 C4 and 996 C4 variants is "Titanium". Under the options programme you can get any caliper colour you want, if you are prepared to pay....
I think you have got it right here John, Titanium is a spot-on description of the colour. They looked really nice, understated, but harmonised perfectly with all the other metal work around them. He was obviously an enthusiast as he had managed to get '993 on his german plate.

John is correct.
I first noticed this when looking at 993C4s. All the buggers have silver/titanium calipers if you look!
Plus they had clear indicator lenses, not orange as per the C2.
The devil is in the details... you can spot a C4 a mile off if you look hard enough
