My first performance car was a 240bhp Ibiza Cupra.
That was when I was 18.
I'm now 20 and I have an Audi S4.

Corolla GTI 16 Twin Cam - the sort of estate shaped 2 door thing.

Great little car and should never have 'traded up?' for an MR2 Turbo which was a hideous, life endangering, noisy, leaky, financially disruptive pain in the @r$e...

You live and learn I guess.

Thankfully, the MR2 was fairly quickly replaced with my 911 3.2 Carrera smile

Still doesn't make any sense. Do you mean "off" instead of "of"?

How the hell did you manage to get insurance on a Ibiza Cupra at the age of 18??? I'm 21 now and a Leon Cupra 1.8T is still about £900 for insurance!!!

They're just taking the piss out of your grammar "start of" doesn't mean anything, "start off" does. On PH these days, sometimes grammar is more important than cars...

My first car was an MGB. smile

Sense. Off. Has.

It takes two seconds to proof read what you have written.

1967 Sunbeam Alpine (and I've still got it 29 years later!)

Performance ??? Car Yes

Couldn't keep up with an MG Metro in the early 80's.

Slightly faster than walking, although it wasn't unusual for a drive to turn into a walk (no mobile phones in those days), followed by AA Relay (thanks guys).

Marginally more waterproof than a series 1 Landrover (my granddad's), which I got to use when the Alpine was off the road.

1st performance car either a Westfield or a 944s2. Do either of those count as performance?

Westfield was my 5th car and 944 was my 7th, its all gone a bit ordinary since though :-(

Focus ST170 was my first 'sporty' car, though I wouldn't really class it as a performance car.

Now have a Leon Cupra chipped to 300bhp.

That's how I started of.
