Just spent all afternoon changing the settings on the Koni dampers. The 'bible' says its potentially a 15 minute job "unless you have any sticking nuts".... well guess what....

Actually the bloody captive bolts on both sides sheered completely So the time was spent drilling/grinding them out and refitting, not to mention the spanner throwing and toolbox kicking

So anyway, all back together now. I've set the Konis as hard as they go, and actually they feel just fine. I also changed the pads to Ferodo standard road pads and they are much better.

Even managed a to test them out

All set for Bolton Abbey next weekend

I went the other way. Mine are set up rather soft.

My current settings cured the nervous cornering on the rough roads around here and the pogo-ing on motorways has stopped.

They may be soft, but I know they still will do track days. I had an M-series beemer spin off in my mirrors at Combe last year LOL

Totally agree it's a pain of a job.
Mine are still fairly new but getting fingers inbetween the sping coils with enough grip to turn the adjuster is surprisingly difficult.

And there was me thinking, mmm shall I tighten them up!?

A) do I have sufficient skin on the old knuckles

B) What will it be like on the pony roads!
