buy now or wait till christmas sales???
Discussion
What the title says really! Looking to spend about £600 on a 42" plasma, probably panasonic, and wondered what everyone reckoned. Will i get a better deal when the sales start or are they more likely to be old models being sold off? I'm not really in any rush but it would be nice to have before christmas ready for the boxing day footy in HD!!!! Thanks in advance, Dan.

For reference, the Panny P42G20 has come down around £400 in the last 6 months. I guess it all depends where you shop. CostCo for example will probably sell you a telly cheaper today than John Lewis will be selling it for in the New Year sales.
Is there a model you particularly have your heart set on? With the speed that technology moves, if you apply the mindset that you'll wait a few months as it will be cheaper then, you'd never buy anything as the models and tech are constantly being superceded.

One rule of TVs:
There will always be the same one cheaper in the coming months, or you will get a bigger/better/newer one for the same money.
If you go on the basis of holding out for three months for this, logically, you would never buy.
Let's say it is £50 cheaper in 3 months time - you've not lost out, you've effectively had three months extra use at 50p a day.
