328i sport or 728i sport?
Discussion
right, been looking for ages to get a new car.
i do about 20miles a day commuting which is pretty much stop start apart from a 5min run on a dual carrigeway.
i know the Ph massive like the bmw 328i which i have also fancier for a while, but would have to be really clean and standard.
but theres also the lazy b
d inside of me that wants to waft to work in the morning with as little fuss as possible.
theres a few of each model locally that i fancy but cant choose which id prefer!
i know the 328 would be more fun and a damn sight quicker, but i just dont know! help ph!

If you've never had a barge before I'd urge you to try it. There are few things nicer than relaxing into a car with excellent seats and loads of space and just wafting home after a long day.
My old 5-series (borderline barge in terms of size, but it was an E34 535
) is the only car I've ever been able to drive in a coat...

ive never travelled to buy a car before, plus like i said the cars im looking at fit the bill locally.
if i could justify the fuel bills i would get a 740/750 but it would rape me silly. like i said, the traffics pretty stop start.
i really do hanker after a barge, im not bothered about the image, i like to be a lil bit diffirent. (im 25)

To be honest, I would take the 7er (I'm 23 by the way), with the right factory alloys they can look really tify and it'll be a lot nicer place on your commute.
If I hadn't of wanted a convertable I would have got a 7 series (I bought mine when I was 20 so the 328i was too much of a stretch insurance wise back then
).
I would advise you though, if you ever get the urge to go and attack a road, the 328i is the car you would most enjoy.

11 years ago I went from a succession of 3 series (last of which was a 328) to a 4.2 A8 Q Sport. Haven't regretted it for a second. Still have that Audi.
Barges are nice. But if you're doing lots of miles, it's a race between the fuel costs and the depreciation as to what will kill you first though.

compromise between the two and get a 5 series instead?
its a good thought but i think im more torn betwwen what i want more, i do like to give it the beans every now and then which the 328 would be best for (aswell as being able to enjoy a lil sideways action) but i love the look of a decent 7, quite imposing yet handsome aswell (imo)
hmmmm
