I'm filming interviews with Nigel Mansell, John Surtees & Jonathon Palmer next tuesday as part of the Beaujolais Run 2010 Launch at Brands Hatch.

Anyone have any questions they would like me to ask?

(Please keep it clean and sensible biggrin)

Does JP's wife let him drive the family car? When the kids were younger she never let him because he drove like a loony all the time.

What happened with the team and will Nigel and the boys be back at La Sarthe in 2011?

You can ask Nige if he is aware how we miss him. Also something about safe driving on the roads, since road is not a track. Also about some good handling road cars he maybe drove, and he prefers.

I'd be interested to know what each of them thought was their own personal moment of perfection and how often they think back to it.
WRT Nigel, I'd like to know if - 1992 WDC excepted - that pass on Senna at the Hungaroring was his personal sweetest racing moment. And does he - after Adelaide and Estoril - now have OCD concerning wheelnuts?

To Mansell,

Do you ever regret not staying with Williams (once they had agreed to your demands) in 1993 and going head to head with Prost in a car which you knew better and in a team which was built around you? Do you think you could have been a double F1 world champion?

To Surtees,

You raced with some great drivers and had Mike Hailwood in your own team. Who is the driver that you rate highest out of all that you raced against? And how highly do you rate "Mike the 'Bike's" talents?

To JP,

What is the real story behind the Toivonen laps at Estoril in 1986?

And

Do you ever feel you made any wrong choices in your driving career? ie do you think you might have had more success if you had taken up other offers?

That last one is guaranteed to send him into a rage. hehe

What do they think of the new GP circuits? What is their favourite circuit?

You could pass on my thanks for me, a friend of mine is best mates with him and he got me a signed Photo for my 18th and never had the chance to say thank you, did meet him once but at a funeral so not best time to ask your hero lots of questions.

On another note maybe ask him, with so many F1 Drivers buying a drive which good drivers does he feel are missing out on a F1 drive? Also have any F1 teams asked if his boys would like to test

How about if they could sponsor one driver (who isn't a relation), who would it be.

Or if they were starting in the racing world now, which series would they most like to start with.

Another: They have all been team owners/ car owners

Surtees owned the Surtees F1 car/team.
Palmer with the FPA cars, and the Jaguar Palmer cars
Mansell with the Beachdean Mansell car.

What are ther thoughts on ex drivers owning teams? or cars with their name on it. Would they recommend it? Any good stories about owning a team/cars

I'd like to ask about the Mansell boys and the Palmer son, but I dont think you should with what happened to Henry Surtees

They are from two different eras: the 60s and the 80s. Would they swap?

Would also be good hear more about JP's sportscar racing in the Porsche, and his win at Brands in the Lloyd 956.

Did Ken Tyrrell really say to JP "You're a bit slow. Isnt it time you retired?"

Also, could JP expand on Tyrrell at that time, when they had the great years but were going down (and cheating with those lead balls)

Will Mansell grow his moustache back for Movember 2011?? (probably a bit late for 2010), but I'm sure P'heads would support the charity if he did. I certainly would pay some to see him back in the 'tache... paperbag
