If you get a chance to do a LR day, involving high speed braking; then do it!

Bl00dy awesome and fightening; stops quicker than the toy! And that is with 3 tonnes total weight!!!!

Incredible cars smile

Not a 2010mdl vogue then? People are complaining about the brakes on those.

Interesting you say that; it was the new model Vogue! Brembo brakes I believe... no fading or anything despite continual abuse smile

Did the LR invitation day at the Yorkshire Air Museum to test drive the D4 - quite impressive and one test involved giving the car full chat down the runway to about 80mph, then the LR person flicked the electronic handbrake button - this brought the car shuddering to a rapid standstill in a straight line...

Impressive stability if probably never to be used in real life, using the brakes also gave good results although it is a heavy old bus....

FWIW, the runway used was the one were Richard Hammond crashed his drag car.

That's the one!

The 'ice road' was pretty impressive as well; kind of makes you wonder why these things need actual drivers behind the wheel to mess things up and switch the clever stuff off.... smile
