OMG... the heater cable is playing games

i took out the radio, and sure enough the cable is snapped..
it goes left, under steering clumn, then right, behind radio, then under the PSAB, then back left behind the heater box.. then it is gone...
I have taked the cover off the fan under the front compartment, but there is onlythe fan, do I neeed to remove that too?
how do I get on the heater valve at the other end of the cable..??

For a quick fix, use a pair of pliers to pull on the wire in the cable while holding the sleeve...that's cold. It worked for me last summer until it was cool enough outside to get it reconnected properly.

ok, the wire is broken.. not unhooked...
i need to change the inner wire.. but to do that i need access to both ends of it... and so far i only found one end...

As you and I have discovered, that cable snakes around quite a ways! Use some wire strippers and trim off a couple of inches of the insulation and then reconnect the wire. It takes some finessing, but it's possible!

talk about not seeing the forest for the trees....
Of course the cable is so long i can Shorten the green sheath and re-bend the innner cable and be back in business ...
i am losing my touch...
