Lightroom - stop it automatically opening?

Lightroom launches on my PC whenever anything is plugged into the USB; phone, SatNav, camers etc, could anyone tell me how do I turn that off?

Wild guess - poke around in 'preferences' or whatever they call it. Somewhere during installation there was probably a checkbox called 'Do you want Lightroom to take over your computer' and you didn't uncheck it

Probably best to start with changing the Windows 'Autoplay' settings for what you want the machine to do when you make device type X available to it.

Should be something in the control panel. In W7 it's under "Hardware and Sound".

ETA. Well 'Hardware and Sound' is where the screen said it was but it's actuallt available form 'Autoplay as well (!) and as an option under at least on of the other headings ....

W7 - at least 3000 different ways to do 10 things you most often need to do.

There's a "Show import dialog when a memory card is detected" option on the "General" tab in Preferences. May be this?
