Surrey Roof.

Well...........my brand new Surrey Roof has arrived in the post.

I shall be trying it for size tomorrow, and hope to post some pictures.

I will, of course, have to give it a test run along the by pass to see how it stands up to say 60mph.

I am going to buy one of Roger's Surrey Roofs next year as I am sick of trying to fit my panel in the boot whenever I want to go anywhere.

I shall look forward to any pics and info

Best thing I've bought for the Griffith if you're a serial non roof user and tourer . . . life is sooo much easier, quicker and mines has seen over 120 (not in the UK obviously) witout any issues ..

Can now remove from boot and install in under a minute

Hopefully I won't be using mine for the drive to Birmingham tomorrow, but it will be on the car in the car park . . . Then hopefully back in the boot for the drive home, but kinda depends on temps

recently acquired a split roof.. but I might be tempted sell it on to fund one of these.

I couldn't wait, so I popped into the freezing garage and tried it for size.

Its a great fit, and looks fine. Its going to give me plenty of space in the boot for luggage when we go touring etc.

It now needs the formal 'test drive' to see how it drives.....

Well it will only really get used when its cold (tonight !), or its raining, or we are parked up for the night whist touring.

It's perfect for my own needs, fits very well, and most of all, has free'd up 100% of the boot space so my wife can transport her entire shoe collection whilst touring.

Well I can now report that its water-tight too.

Its had a good soaking today, and the cockpit is dry.

It was parked in the rain, and also had a spell up the motorway too. Passed the test on all counts.
