Do I run away or is it worth a cheeky punt as a drift barge? The work needed list was produced by Stephen James BMW Blackheath where I have seen the car for about 10mins. No visible signs of rust, just lack of use in the last 18mths...

No rust, apart from both rear arches, around the fuel filler, both sills (especially nearside - so rusty it's come through to the kick plates on the inside!) Methinks the plastic sill trims are hiding a whole world of pain.

Couple that to the fact that the engine's an unknown quantity, as is the EDC and it'll likely be a massive money pit!

(dropped my car off for a service there and had a chat to one of the service guys about it)

Good luck...
