Which Wiper/Screenwash combo for the winter?

Its that time of the year again, iv had my current blades 12 months so they’re well past their best.
Any advice on the best blade/screenwash combo?

I use bosch blades and rain-x additive at the moment, they’re pretty good but am curious as to what everybody else uses.

I have tried search but it seems pretty crap at the moment.

I have recently put a set of Bosch wipers on my car, I also use Rain-X. Seems to be a fine combo. In terms of screenwash - I use VW screenwash, excellent stuff.

Mind you, I've just fitted Halfords branded wiper blades on my gf's Ka. It also has Rain-X applied and VW screenwash in the bottle. Haven't noticed any difference to be honest.

Just avoid those cheap aero-style ones that Tesco sell. Tesco sell some great, cheap stuff but their aero wipers are a bit poo. Had them on the Ka and they just didn't perform at all.

Really impressed with the Bosch wipers on mine. I just use Tesco screenwash, works perfectly well IMO.

Seems to work fine for me. Tesco also do pink stuf which works to a lower temp.

Bosch wipers

DIY screenwash: water + drop of Fairy liquid + a bottle of methylated spirit (to stop it freezing).
[.....or just buy 5 litres from Halfords]

comma concentrated, rain-X glass cleaner and windscreen additive, bosch 15/24 set (No size for aero retrofit for those), good for a while, but some smearing even i am with the new wipers.

1z einszett Kristallklar Premium every time to clean the windscreen and decent wiper blades. Like tyres worth spending a little extra on.

Another vote for Bosch wipers.

I've also used their 'aero twin' retro fit kit on the E36 and they are very decent worthwhile upgrade.

This stuff, the CW washer fluid and the OEM Porsche one are all practically the same and very good.

PIAA silicone wipers, with pretty much any old screen wash.

You'll never buy anything else again, and they last ages and ages (more than a year; and I change Bosch about every 3/4 months as they don't work well enough for me after that).

VW/Audi OEM screenwash is superb stuff (believe it's the eizenett in a different bottle) - GSF sell it for 2 quid for a litre but a tiny bit goes a long way.

Another user of VW screenwash but have never bothered with Rain-X. What are the benefits?

+1 they remove the need for rainx and almost make screenwash redundent as well.
