Hi All,

Ive just purchased a beautiful Chimaera 2 weeks ago which looks and drives amazing, however the M.I.L light has come, but still drives fine. Should I be looking out for anything in particular when driving to see if this a serious problem?? ...and what is M.I.L?

Yes.. if you haven't guessed im an amateur!

Thanks

Jaz

It indicates that there is an ECU fault of some kind. The ECU may be running in a default limp home mode as a result.

Needs a diagnostic code reader plugged in to see what the problem is. Time to visit a dealer/specilaist.

"Malfunction Indicator Lamp" - can be serious. Get it to the doctors asap.

Be very careful, it's a warning light indicating your Mother In Law is coming to stay soon.

Well

Mrs Chimyellow told me it stands for "mike is a lemon!"

Is this not the case in Macau Yellow Chim's?

But MIL is only 3 letters! (and I don't have to get the wife to do any work that requires a tool on mine)

Thanks for your help on this..I love this motor!

However..I hope I havent bought a dud as im noticing a few other things such as the gears sticking esp in 3rd ..and also alot of squeeking on the right side esp when going over speed bumps. Are these things normal?? or am i just panicking

...either way I think im going to TVR Centre Barnet to get everything sorted.. Is this a reputable garage??

Cheers again.

Jaz
