Roddy with the lambo murci will be too modest to post but I understand with a stadard car and tyres he has gone round in under a minute, i think 57sec?
Me; under 5 minutes!!
126mph in third at end of main staight in the QV before feet through floor (brakes arent good on the old girl!)

There's some pretty impressive times in that link, noteably 59.040 Mark CAMPBELL Triumph TR5 being one of them, me thinks that was no Standard Triumph (forgive the pun)http://www.smart-timing.co.uk/Lap%20Records_files/...

would love to see the national sprints back but due to cost they will be going to inglston and kames. reckon that stewart robb could go faster than his 45.4 as that car was upgraded in 2010

I don't think it was the cost that stopped the national sprint events ... it was poor organisation.IIRC, the last national sprint event at KH was 19th May 2007.
The weather was atrocious and the efforts of the organising club were similar.
I don’t think they were helped at all by the track management either.
The paddock was a mess with all sorts of random vehicles in random places. They didn’t even have a paddock marshal so nobody knew when to head for the queue (they did try to use the PA but it was pretty much inaudible).
It was such a cluster fook that I said at the time I wouldn’t be back.
My understanding was that the organising club responded to the barrage of criticism by just throwing the towel in. I could be wrong.
I think the Scottish and national sprint community would welcome KH back to the calendar, even with a slightly greater than normal entry fee, but I don’t think KH need or particularly want the business.
Ingliston at the beginning of this year was Dunfermline Car Club’s first sprint event (to my knowledge) and, in contrast, the organisation was superb – bordering on the slick! I acknowledge that they were supported, to an extent, by Lothian.
At Kames, the organisation is always first class but, I guess, a wee bit easier since it’s a dedicated venue. I always enjoy going there as I think EACC are the friendliest club in Scotland and beyond.
In summary, I’d quite like KH to be reintroduced but their management would have to buy in to it and a suitably competent car club would have to organise.
Cheers,
Eric
