cheap,interesting,low insurance

i want a change from my A4 avant, it needs to be under 2 grand, under insurance group 8 and most important of all interesting, im hitting brick walls any suggestions?

Although I expect there's a few classics that fit the bill, depends what you mean by interesting. Spitfire?

Also factor into the equation where do you live? Is the car garaged? Your annual mileage? Your Occupation?

When you take all of those things into account for many of us insurance groups then matter.
