mirach production
Discussion
just a quick note here for info, the mirach kit car is back in production with phoenix automotive developments. www.phoenixautomotivedevelopments.co.uk . we have just completed new chassis jigs and are currently building a new show car fitted with 350hp chevy v8. which we will be showing next year .
Well it's good to see all on here being constructive & helpful as ever!
OK the Mirach ties in well with Pheonix as it's been reborn about a dozen times! If you don't like it, by all means say so, but how about doing so in a constructive manner!!! Perhaps if you tell the manufacturer exactly what you don't like about it then he can do something about it. I can't be the only person on here that is fed up with seeing childish put downs with absolutely no structure whatsoever! Ok, mini rant over
Personally I've always rather liked the Mirach, I felt it's more like what the 7 clones should have grown into instead of sticking with 50's/60's looks, unfortunately I think the Mirach is now looking a bit 80's, which is, I think around when it was born - some decent lights would help bring it up to date, as regards the rest, I'm no stylist - perhaps Italo could throw in something useful. I've always liked the fact that the cabin lends itself to having a roof dropped on top, possibly for some halfway decent weather protection?
Has it got any lighter in its absence? It was always rather heavy which means throwing a large engine at it to make it go anywhere quickly, hence it was never going to be a budget offering.
& what's with all the unintelligble acronyms??????

There's no doubt that this is a classic case of "going off too soon". The website is under construction, and the details provided are extremely thin. I daresay the OP is excited because they have made some recent progress, but I think he would have done better to have kept quiet until there was something concrete there to report.
The mere fact that any particular car is going to be available at some point in the future is of no real interest in itself, if the key fact is missing, as it is here. And what is that key fact? The price, of course.

But 'childish' is what I do best, Russ...
To be honest, I think it's supremely ugly and very dated and it brings out the cynic in me when I see it reappear AGAIN!
- Now you're really not sure if I'm taking the wee!
I'm sure it can't look more dated than a 7 clone as it defo looks post 50's/60's! But if you think it looks supremly ugly surely it's better to say that (not Fugly note!) rather than post an obscure acronym, we all find different things aesthetically pleasing (or not), be a boring old world if we didn't, we'd all be driving round in Lada's. Personally I would only be cynical if I thought the owners were trying to take people for a ride re collecting deposits for kits people will never see - now who did that most recently? Hmmmm

Wasn't particularly directed at you Ferg, I have frequently seen you make constructive, educated & intelligent comment

Glad you cleared that up - I had wondered if it was a dyslexic spelling of YAWN

post an obscure acronym,
That was a made up obscure acronym purely for comic effect.

I couldn't agree more! Thank heaven we have the Toniq, MEV's and the Riot to liven things up a little.Shame that the Mirach does look so dated though - back in the day, people probably thought it looked futuristic, in a 1960's sci-fi (Thunderbirds??) kind of way.
Perhaps Phoenix have put this up early (before pricing info is available) to gauge reaction ...

While I will acknowledge that the price is critical information for anybody who is going to BUY a Mirach (and I'm even a little curious myself), I actually DON'T need to know the price to know that I am not interested in the car.
I would also suggest that most of the other posters on this thread have had a similar reaction ...
