Hi guys,
I'm looking at getting a Nob 3R (should be picking it up next week).
Even though it won't need a service, I'm thinking I will give it an oil and filter change anyhow, but....
How much engine oil will it take with a track day sump??
Cheers

Thanks Tuxman.
Are Nob owners generally happy with the Shell Helix Ultra 5W 40 oil??? I know some people seem to recomend the Mobil 1, but then they also seem to say it's too thin and they don't actually use it themselves?? Just wondering what the "seasoned" Nob owners use??

Either work fine and I've had both in mine. I did notice at tick-over tho that the oil pressure was lower when using the Mobil 1 which would suggest it has a lower viscosity than the Shell Helix Ultra. Don't believe that will cause you any problems although Shell is the recommended brand by Noble.

Colin, how could you tell - have you fitted an oil pressure gauge (if so, where?)?

Rob, yes, original gauges replaced with SPA gauges. Oil pressure shows 15 PSI (when hot) at tick-over with the Shell Helix. With the Mobil 1, it was 13 PSI.
