This perfectly demonstrates why I detest Alonso. He's arguably the best driver on the grid (though I'd love to see what Kubica can do with a contender of a car!) and drove remarkably to finish the season where he did in an under-performing Ferrari. But, he's so detestable. He comes across as if thinking the world owes him victory instead of getting out there and earning it. I believe he showed this at McLaren, he showed it at Hockenheim and he he showed it most clearly, today, when he gestured to Petrov at the end of the race after failing to pass him for 35 laps.

A champion's champion would earn his victories!

Dont get wound up. Just do your own voice over saying "curses!" next time you watch it and you will see it is really funny!

After failing to pass Petrov for 35+ laps he pulled up alongside him and waved his fist at him, apparently suggesting he should have let him past. Petrov, to his credit, gestured back the international sign language for 'get bent you arrogant tw@t'.

True, where did Petrov block him? Alonso made overbloated picture of himself, he is not that good.

Shock at someone being frustrated at losing the title. Yes it makes him look like a tit but surely some of you can see why he did it?

Or this going against the grain in a very anti Ferrari forum?

It doesn't make him look like a tit, it makes him look like what he is. He did not have the ability to pass an inexperienced (comparatively) driver in a lesser car, but chose to blame that driver instead of himself for that inability.

You have to wonder how Alonso would be if F1 was like it was in the 80's when you at least had a hope of battling through the field. In fact you'd have to wonder how that whole race would've panned out in the 80's (something like Watson (Vettel) v Rosberg (Alonso) in Las Vegas methinks).

Anyway, as per Fred and as ever, dumb people always identify the wrong cause of their frustrations... direct it at those who determine the F1 regs (for yet another GP comparatively devoid of any decent action) due to the F1 technical setup.

Do not offend the others please, his frustrations and his dealing with them are clear to see. He needs more introspection(if he is able to do it).

Very frustrated then, but was complimentary about Petrov's drive in the post race interview.
