What were the devs thinking!

It just rains grenades.

Tried it on vet when I first got it and gave up, went back to it recently. It's so frustrating.

you need to keep moving. Grenades start when you stop for a period. Run from cover to cover, use smoke. Your troops will push up if you do, to clear positions. tough levels!

The grenades are annoying, I finished Black Ops on veteran last night and it's no where near as hard. As people say on WAW just keep pushing forward even try crawling or sprinting and just try your luck for the next check point. I'm going back to WAW to finish it on veteran now, managed to do Mile High Club last night on veteran so roll on!

only problem with keep on running forward being that if it saves just before you die, it just respawns you die... a proper Groundhod day moment.

managed to get every achievement apart from the shoot down 44 aircraft one frown

A fine example of how great Treyarch's AI is. I doubt I will bothed with the next COD game they have anything to do with.

Nice one!

I finally did this at the weekend - I found the key for me was to ditch the secondary silenced pistol and pick up either a P90 or mini Uzi as soon as possible.

Managed to score the perfect headshot once I got to the end room too - unfortunately it was on the VIP I was attempting to rescue... hehe

Undetered, I got back to the end room within a couple more attempts and took down the correct target this time and in the process unlocked the last 20G required for a perfect 1000/1000 achievement score.

On to the remaining MW2 Spec Ops missions now I think...

Having finished Blops on Veteran over the weekend, I can report that not once did I die from a cheap grenade thrown into my cover. I died a couple of times from grenades granted, but they weren't the homing variety.

It's supposed to be tough though, Veteran on MW2 was a bit too easy, thankfully they put in the Spec Ops to balance it out.

I also ditched the pistol for either the P90 or Shotgun, much better as an alternative.

If you want a buddie for spec ops give me a shout, I've completed them all but enjoy spec ops.

I have to agree, this has to be the hardest of the COD series to complete. I did 1000/1000 on MW1 back 'int day, had to go back to hardened after that bloody "Burn em out" mission on WaW though

Managed MW2 and half of Blops so far on Veteren biggrin (Just realised how much i like COD!!)

There are a few tactics you can use to make Veteran in spec Ops easier.

That is:
one of you have a Barret 50 cal for juggernauts
Bait the enemy where you can, get them to run after you to where your team mate is sitting

Youtube is your friend.!
High Explosive would never have been done if it werent for this cheap tactic.
Not recommending you do it but you may need to resort to it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Is7NsC_uqsc

make sure one of you is in the door way so it cant get through

Yep 3 stars on all of them, did alot of them with Xero1 off here. Had to do the cheap tactic for the jugs in the favela though. I don't think it's possible any other way.
