Cerbera for a XJR?

Currently have both, the Jag has 370 real bhp and loads of torque, unfortunately it is probably double the weight of the Cerb. However in many circumstances it is faster than the Cerb because the electronics allow you to disregard the edge of the envelope to a large degree. The Jag wins or nearly wins J D Power for customer satisfaction every year and according to Government analysis of real world crashes it is the safest car. The Jag interior is the real gentlemans club thing and shows no sign of wear. IMHO one of the world's great cars.

Incorrect , my XKR cost around 170- quid for the yearly - 15,000Km service it dont come cheaper
They are insanely quick and sometimes its more of a thrill eating Audis, Boxters and Seat Leon Cupra R's because as soon as they see the car they think "slow barge" I'll have him at these lights, but in Sport mode they've no chance and get very embarrased!
I ate one of those Mitsubishi FTO v6 things on the twisties and on the straights the other day, not bad for nearly 2 tonne of wood, leather and metal
The computer sorts everything out you just point and squirt - great.
I've just done the front pads on mine today - £23 from the local parts shop! £23? and an hour to fit them myself! BARGAIN

Make sure you get a post 99 model, and then you'll avoid nickasil and chain tensioner problems.

i live in Sweden , it was serviced at a Jag main agent , i know 170 squid is peanuts for such a car , my Golf 4motion costs more to service

Yeah, they are just great to drive, incrementally better than any TVR, but not to sit in. The cabin is straight out of the 1950s - a gesture towards the American market whose customers (or influencial dealers) think that's what a Jag interior should look like. It isn't, of course - there never was any wood in an E-Type, but they look at pictures of the XK120 and XK140 and some 50s saloons and think, hey, it's wood everywhere. The cabin is severely cramped, and the vast overhang at the back is there because it's built on the same chassis as the previous model, and anyway, the American market wants a sports car that can hold two sets of golf bags, blah, blah, blah, boring.
Thankfully, the new model is on a shorter chassis and will be all alloy, so it will look even better and go like stink. And yes, JD Power has put Jaguars top of its reliability list for a few years now here in the States, but they are still expensive (wallet ripping) to service and repair, so be warned.
If I was doing a lot of driving on European motorways I'd buy one over any other car. You arrive at your destination relaxed and refreshed. If I was driving in the UK I'd get an air cooled 911 (933) Targa - it's smaller and more manouverable and almosst bomb proof. The new 911 is too large and ostentatious for my tastes.
Yeah they listened to the American market when they designed the new XJ and look at the state of it - horrible.
They winged because they were too fat to fit in the back
, so they make the car taller and so it loses that sleek, shark like look and no no longer looks low. They changed the door handles because fat Americans couldn't get their fingers in the old ones and what are you left with? A german looking bland barge.
