MOT and registered date anomaly?

Just looking at some cars on ebay and came across this (ebay screen shot):



The registered date states March, yet the MOT is until May.

Shouldn't these 2 months be the same?

Looks like it was MOT`d late. Perhaps because the owner forgot or more likley it was off the road i.e. being traded in becuase it was coming up to 3 years old. If the dealer/finance company/hire purchase company have put it on a forecourt/aution etc etc theres no need for a fresh MOT until its sold on.

He may have SORN it, or just forgot to do the MOT for a couple of months.
