I guess, in that context, the word "SP*C" being used as part of an insult against someone who comes from Spain could mean almost anything.

The funny thing is until I read this thread I though it was a shortening of span(sameword)tard. I'd totally forgotten that word that sounds a little like speck.

I suppose it just goes to show that sometimes things are better left to slip away rather than be highlighted.
