Anything after 1st April 86 needs side repeaters unless the front indicator can be seen from standing along the side of the car.

Tricky one

C98 ULL was the first road SEAC and also has no side repeaters

mine was the second (not the first Neil!)

Find a different station, explain to them what has happened and see if they will be as anal about it!

If not, theres one in the Gravesend area that is very sympathetis towards keeping iconic classics on the road.. wink

Good question; what's the answer? You must know the month from the chassis number.

When my old SX was exported to Oz the registration date was after the cut off date, but the build date fell within the regulations,, different issue i know but could be worth looking into.

Well as above it's first use and first of April.

Given that yours was a development model I don't think it reasonable that it was built in Feb and then sat around for a few weeks before they drove their new toy so you need a letter from the club historian/John Ravenscroft etc. to confirm this fact.

Thanks again

what does "first use" mean in regulatory terms?

Clearly different to Registration date otherwise it would say that ?

First use will be what's on the VOSA computer, my original question as to when it was built was because I wondered how TVR would get Type Approval (or what ever it was then) to be able to put the model on the road without the side repeaters. To the OP you'll either have to fit them or find a test station that's classic car friendly, shame you're not up my way.

I don't think that TVR did get type approval which is why it'll say 350i on the V5.
