If I'm right in saying that the London congestion charge cameras use number plate recognition, will I also get stung for having "non standard" plates?

If I had them. Which I haven't. I'm asking for a mate. Honest. I wouldn't do that sort of thing. Really. I'll leave now.

no chances are they system wouldent read the plate.


why you thing they resently changed the rull on types of plates.

It so the the auto reconition systems can read em.

The way I understand it is that the identification is an automated character recognition system. If the OCR system cannot get a read then it is passed to a human operator for a manual read.

or of course you cud always stick a false plate on

So would they then pass on non standard plates to the plod ?
