We've put 19 inch General Grabber ATs on my wifes truck which are excellent at moving through snow but the rubber isn't a "winter" compound, so is no better on ice or cold roads than her standard tyres.
The slightly higher profile (55 as opposed to 50 on the standard tyres) has given the car a much more comfortable ride though.

I put the new grabber AT on my supercharged RR with 20" alloys
They are mud and snow rated (M+S) rated and so far have been unstoppable in the snow here in scotland. Unlike winter only tyres they are good for the summer too and with 12mm of tread they should last for ages - they also look superb
I also just fitted a set of general grabber UHP to my wifes lexus rx - less aggressive than the AT tyre but they are also M+S rated and have also been unstoppable
