Well, if I have your attention, I am looking to get my mitts on one of the serious wheel clamps.
On Flea bay, there are only the normal wheel clamps.
I want one of the real daddy clamps.

But where, and does any one have one that accidently 'fell off' their car recently ?

Have you tried a caravan seller. Caravan theft is big business so they have some meaty clamps.

Simple.

1. Go to a tool hire shop and hire a a bloody great petrol angle grinder.

2. Park illegly somewhere.

3. Await clampers

4. Remove clamp by cutting through the chain/padlock with the aforementioned angle grinder

5. Drive off with 'your' new clamp

The one you want then is the police type I bought one years ago not cheap.

It helps look after my car very well.

It comes with extras as well, picture below on my wife's beetle.

I agree. The ones you can commonly get from DIY / caravan dealers are only a deterant to casual thief / joyrider and determined / professional will get them off in seconds.
Bascially work on the idea of if small and light enough to store in the boot and quikcly put on whilst out at supermarket then regard as a deterant. If, howevere, big, dirty, weighes a ton and involves crawling under the car to wrap chains around the suspension then you are starting to have some proper security.
What about having a detachable steering wheel and taking that into the house / work instead ?

Yes, I want it for my own car, so I can park it up for extended periods.
