Dizziness under heavy braking...normal?
Discussion
I know PH isn't exactly the best place to seek medical advice, but just thought I'd throw it out there...
A little while ago I went for a drive, and long story short, hadn't driven in a week or two and a fair amount of rust had built up on the brake discs. So, whilst on my drive whenever I came across a decent straight with no one around I sped up to around 80 (kmph obviously) and braked hard back to around 30/40ish, to clear up the discs a bit. I did this repeadedly, about 30 seconds to a minute apart I would guess.
Anyways, after the third or fourth time, I realised the few seconds after I braked, I felt, well, really light headed. If you've ever fainted, that feeling where things get really hazy, then gradually fade to white, a feeling like your detached from your body... that sounds pretty weird but that's what it felt like.
It only lasted a few seconds, but all in all still pretty worrying. Now, this never effects my normal driving as even under really heavy baking it doesn't happen, only after doing it repeadedly over a short time period does it start to happen. It's really put my off the idea of doing any trackdays, with the repeaded heavy braking, does anyone else find this problem?
