Heads up - TONIGHT (Mon) 22.35 Hunt & Sheene
Discussion
Absolutely brilliant programme. My favourite quote had to be;
Moss: Great pole position, how did you do it?
Hunt: I just got in and gave it a
holes.
Despite his obvious faults, I couldn't help feel respect for Mosely - whatever your opinion you can't deny he did a lot for safety in the sport and his reaction when talking about attending driver funerals was clearly genuine.

Yes, many people don't realise he was actually racing in the same F2 race at Hockenheim in which Jimmy Clark was killed.team underdog said:

This!Certainly made a big difference to my opinion of the man.
Dan
I just jump in and give it some arse holes
Just purchased the new James Hunt book *Shunt* loads of great pics, yet to start reading it, his Bio was a good read and Shunt is 5 times the size
and loads packed with interesting info.

great program (shock horror that ITV showed something decent !!) and they managed not to get too tabloid about it all.
Re Max Mosley. Hasn't changed my opinion about him at all. I even thought he did this to try and show a "nice" side to him.
Jackie Stewart was the man who pushed safety forward in F1. Mosley only made things happen after 94.
Great documentary, thoroughly enjoyed it except for the bits about footballers.
Of course Moseley, Bernie etc etc go back a long way and despite the hatred towards him now, I thought how much he obviously missed the days of Hunt and Sheene. I was 20 in '76' in the RAF at Valley in Wales - I remember the F1 and 500cc seasons so well whilst sitting on our private beach sipping beer and having BBQ's! I'd love a similar documentary of the Group B era of rallying with all the footage that could be used - happy days, very happy days!!!!
