I'm toying with the idea of buying a british classic sports car, I've seen one I like in white and wondered what peoples thoughts are.

I'd be interested in what the ladies think about a bloke showing up for a date in a classic white sports car.

According to the AA its the 5th most popular colour.

They also say its for police cars and delivery vans not sports cars. Hmmm

Okay, Lets say its more of general question than specific to one model and see how we get on, although if you have specific models in mind that suit white by all means.

It's one of the classic British sports car colours. What's stopping you?

Most of the cars will be slightly off-white, a bit creamy really. Very nice though, especially on MGBs.

Police cars are now all silver - they swapped a few years back when they realised the resale value on silver cars was much better. The only reason for that was that police cars were white, so they've had no net benefit. However it's tallied up nicely with a bit of an 80s style revival, with lots of cars designed in white.

Not at all keen on white. Sports cars suit fruitier colours. A white sports car looks like a surgical glove and it is a colour that smacks of weddings and pimping Cadillacs.

Unless you have lots of money, I wouldn't care about the colour...I'd rather have a nice example in a colour I didn't like then a rusty one in a good colour. If you buy it and like it and it's a good 'un resprays aren't even that expensive in the grand scheme of things.

For what it's worth I have a Stag in white and girls seem to like it (well, some do..but for those who don't I don't think it's the colour that puts them off)
