Ah, bugger. Sorry to hear this.

What bit of Cheltenham? You've got me worried, as mine's parked outside with the alarm deactivated....

I'll keep a look out, it's quite distinctive with the colour and spoiler combination.

Well, it *was* up in Leckhampton :/

I'd re-activate your alarm, it's not windy tonight!

WTF!

Why would anyone want to steal an MX5?

They are cheap enough as it is...!

Sorry to hear this OP...!

Blimey, that is quiet.

I'm down in Montpelier, and just off to sort the alarm out now!

Found! It's been a week an a half. To my untrained eye it looks like they cut their way in through the roof then it was joyridden. Thatcham alarm next then...

Ah, great news!

Give me a shout if you need a hand fitting a new roof, I've done mine twice now (once for the same reason as you, only they never lifted it because the battery was flat!).

Great news. thumbup

Hopefully they were nice to it? Knifing a roof does seem such an 'unscientific' way of nicking a car.

There's a good value new roof place in south wales IIRC.

Oo, ta for the offer of help! You may regret that wink I don't know what will happen at the moment; it depends whether the insurance company will offer to repair it or not...

I'm just so glad to have it back. Once the Police have checked it over and released it to me, I guess the insurance assessor and I can see what it sounds like when it's turned over. Kinda wish they'd bust the window in instead of the roof, that would have been SO much cheaper to deal with.
