Dont know about anyone else, but it reminds me instantly of the Prodrive concept that came out a few years ago (based on Subaru running gear etc!) which still lurks in the Prodrive heritage centre at Banbury.. Thoughts?

Subaru got burnt with the "it's a hatchback, get over it" thing they did with the current model, which is why we have the saloon back for the WRX now. They designed the current one as a hatch though, since the rear wheel isn't quite in the right place. I'm guessing they've done a proper "three box" design for the next one, but with a hatchback boot for practicality. Here's hoping there's a 3 door...
