How many services should my crossfire have had by now? It has 22,000 on the clock and was serviced at 16,000. A dealer who is after buying it says it should have had more.

I'm a bit confused as the service book said it needed doing at 20,000.

It's usually X amount of miles or per year.

So if it's low mileage it should probably have had at least as many services as it is years old.

Audi currently has 22,000 mile intervals or every 2 years although most brand new cars have a check after a couple thousand. So if your Crossfire was say 3 years old it should have had the check after a couple thousand and its first service going by Audis standards.

So it's 3 years old with 22,000 miles on the clock. And it's been serviced once?

Yes, it should have been serviced more. Without a doubt. The service intervals (based on what you said about second service at 20k) will be 10k miles or 1 year. So if you do less than 10k miles in a year, you get it serviced every year. If you do 20k miles in a year you get it serviced twice that year (each time you hit the magic 10k).
