205 needs smaller wheels and lowering. Other than that, very nice!

Thanks for the replys, all good (so far).
The 205 does need lowering but it's the pesky tortion bar on the back and I've heard messing with it can open a can of worms. The wheels are off my old 405 mi16 and same size as 1.9 gti items as far as I'm aware. They should look more in proportion when it's a bit lower.

Can anyone point me in the direction of threads or websites with any good info on lowering the tortion bars on the rear of my pug.

Join up to 205 gti drivers if you haven't already, one of the most informative single make forums about. People on there will be happy to take your beam in exchange for a fully rebuilt one for about £300.

Thanks shalmanaster that is a great link. I like to think im quite capable with the spanners but that is a lot of work. Can't belive that guy has done all that on his drive!

I rebuilt my beam on the side of the road, well I say that, I bought a second hand 309 beam, rebuilt it then fitted it after removing the old beam...Was a ton of hassle, and I would definitely get one of the guys on 205 gti drivers to do it for me now. Didn't really save much money either....

A bit of an update on my Pug. I bought 307 hdi discs and calipers a while ago off fleabay and finally got around to fitting them. Its a work in progress so I,ll update when finished.

Bit of a difference....



New caliper in place....



Old pads siezed in the carriers...



Its close...very close...



One side done..now to do the other...

Like the 205, the the E36

I've just purchased me 2nd E36 'vert, does yours have an electric roof? Any problems with it? Mine gets stuck on the cover as it goes down & up, so I have to move it before it goes all the way down.

Hi, I had that problem when I first had the car but I realized that one of the 'folds' wasn't right. Here are some pics of it sorted and now goes down nicely.
