Try not to worry too much, some flexing/squeaking is not unusual. Tuscs are very quirky and you will get used to its individual characteristics. If you havent owned it long give it a few weeks to get used to the various noises/concerns, and, then if you arent happy get it to a dealer. Tusc ownership a love hate relationship, most of it on the love side, but dont expect it to be like any other car you may have owned. Hmm(unless it was a Tiv). Enjoy the

It could simply be the rear screen. This has a tendency to squeak - either where it tucks into the roll over hoop (squeaks when taking on bumps etc...) or the boot lid can sometimes be a bit of a tight fit and squeak when taking a curb/driveway etc...
There are loads of threads on how to correct it, which is basically velcro.

I do suffer from the rear window squeaking and will rectify this soon with the Velcro solution that many have recommended.
However, the squeaking that I am hearing sounds more like it is from underneath the car. I haven't noticed any fluid when the car has been parked and the car handles as I would expect it to, so I am not too worried, but just wondered if this is the norm or whether something was amiss.

Why not try pushing down on each corner in turn to see if it's a shocker/spring noise? could also be the anti roll bar squeaking in its bush.
A squirt of silicon spray might help (but definately not oil based stuff as this'll rot the rubber)
Mines was squeaking at the rear right hand side which, when I pushed down on both rear ends I could only hear the squeak from the rear right hand side. When I was on the mainland recently with a full load in the boot, the squeak was more prominent. On Monday past the car was out all day with the roof off with not a squeak anywhere, so I'm still none the wiser.
It's definately not the roof, as whilst we spent a lot of time on single track roads on the outskirts of Moffat in the Scottish border region then a further 80 or so miles through A roads etc and all with the roof off, the squeak was intermittently still there?
Any advice would be appreciated, however as I said the squeak has now gone!
Best Regards,
James Sim.

Peteh,
Can you do all the dirty bits for me, and let me know the results please? As I said, I'm a bit baffled as to why the noise has gone away, cos I'm afraid that as soon as I put any sort of car into a repair centre, you're chapping the bank managers door for his help.
