Selling a car - quickly..!
Discussion
Ring your local dealer, or try some of the smaller used car sites, one of them will give you a decent bid on it no doubt.
You would try 'webuyanycar' but you only really get a guide price from the internet, the guys working at the drop off points get paid by chipping the price down when you get there.

Hi all,
I am trying to sell my car, it has been on the PH classifieds for a while now for a fair price.
Which, if any, of these `We Buy Any Car...` companies would people recommend?
Tried the WBYC.com for a mates Golf GTi. ISTR they offered about £50 and then wanted an £80 handling charge.... Ebayed on a 7 days listing for £550.I am trying to sell my car, it has been on the PH classifieds for a while now for a fair price.

what sort of car is it? Petrol head type motor then Pistonheads is the place. If its a mainstream car that appeals to people who don't have petrol for blood then other places will get you a far bigger audience (ebay/Autotrader)

Unfortunately my experience of selling on PH hasn't been very good. I advertised a car for £6k on PH and Autotrader at the same time.
In two weeks the only communication I had via PH was an email from some joker saying that an offer of £4k was a fair offer and that he hoped that I would be willing to do business at that level. You might be suprised to hear that my answer was 'no'.
In the same period I had 4 calls from people that had seen the car on Autotrader. Two of them came to see the car, the first one made a joke offer (£5.3k) and the second one drove away in the car having done a deal we were both happy with. The 4th call was after the car sold.
My point is that Autotrader may yield a quicker sale.

You might as well just give it away if you go down the 'we buy any car' route.
Just as a counter point...We sold our Freelander 2 to WBAC for £1500 more than the Land Rover dealer could offer in PX against a Disco 4 - and that is after fees / commission etc. I found them very straightforward and decent to deal with.
Depending on how quickly you want it gone, go for a 5, 3, or even 1 day ebay auction.
State very clearly that the winning bidder must make contact within 24hrs of the end of the auction, or the car will be relisted. Similarly, collection must be made within 7 days, or again it will be relisted.
Don't entertain any fannying around from ebayers - state your rules and stick to them.
What car is it by the way?

Have you thought about suresell from BCA?

It's a 59 plate Focus ST-3, less than a year old. Have used PH before and always manage to sell. Guess it's the time of year or something. It's also for sale on the ST Owners Club site.

I hate to say it but I agree. I've sold various cars and bikes through PH and Autotrader and got sick to death of the little pikey vultures knocking the prices down via email and text messages through the PH ads, whereas the Autotrader ads attracted an almost totally pleasant response from buyers for some reason. In two weeks the only communication I had via PH was an email from some joker saying that an offer of £4k was a fair offer and that he hoped that I would be willing to do business at that level. It isn't overpriced but for the same money I could go to a dealer who will offer a warranty, finance, etc etc etc, and walk away with a very similar car at very similar money. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2155382.htm
If you are wanting to sell it quick auction or wbac are your only guaranteed sale options but the ST isn't exactly desireable to a dealer to retail.
Having just read the advert the "i need to sell the car quick because I`m moving abroad" line is more than a little off putting as its also the same line used in the scam where a car is advertised at an extremely low price by a bunch of con artists.
