Are we talking about backing up to dvd or backing up a dvd?

If it's the latter then www.dvdshrink.org should do the job..

The former.. you should be able to use a DVDR as a backup device with windows backup..

And if the result doesn't fit on a 4.7GB disk, you could use dvd2one.com

DVDshrink gives the best visual results I've seen and can do a DVD in about 2hours or less, oh and has the quality of disks slipped recently? I'm getting some real bummers that don't work at all, PC or home DVD.

Yeah some Blank DVD's are crap

Make sure you get the more expensive RiTek ones with the deep purple back's they are the best IMO.

Failing that get the datawrite ones.

If you are backing up a dvd you will need to use DVDDecrypter to copy the disc to your hard disk and take out the copy protection and the something like dvd shrink to write back to DVD
