Some footage of me and a mate, We store/work on our cars in the same unit.

Sunday was the first day we'd been to the same trackday, there was some big talk about raw power and some jibes about toy/hairdressers cars ect.

The little MX5 supprised a few people laugh

Though you lot would enjoy!

Nice. although I think most of that can be attributed to your driving there. looked pretty much on the limit.

Looks like you were pretty determined not to let him get away!
Agreed that your driving helped a lot - you seemed to be much more on the limit than he was wink

Did that Clio hit anything?

Trust me, The VR6 was trying hard!

I had a few laps in it myself, understeer is a horrible thing, Very difficult to put the car on the apex. On the plus side, Charging up the hills with the 6 pot howling was nice!

The clio, Felt a bit bad about that afterwards. Went into a bale of tyres, He was back out straight after so don't think any damage was done.

Impressive stuff there! Not having done any track driving (yet!) how does Cadwell compare to others? Always looks like quite a challenging circuit with little margin for error when I see youtube footage!

Yeah, Not a great deal of run off in places eek

It's an amazing circuit though, Perfect for our cars! Coppice corner and halls bends are priceless bits of track.

I've only got anglesey and the ring to compare it too, I'd say it's somewhere in the middle.

Think I've seen your car around town, Have you got fancy stoppers?

Guilty as charged! Watching the video has revealed quite a few areas for improvement. It's a good job actually, I think Nick will be throwing some money at that golf to save further embarrassment and since I haven't got any I think I'll be needing those RPM's next time were out on track!

The 27th should be a cracker, It was so quiet on sunday compared to when i went in october, probs just a 1/4 of the cars there, Should be quieter still in december!

I was going to go to mallory on the 30th but need to put some money away for HMRC so not sure I'll get out on track 'til feb now frown

Ahh ok, having lived in Manchester City Centre, Bolton and now Bury in the last 3 months it could've been anywhere! The MX5 doesn't get many outings in winter, but that makes sense as it's living in Bolton for the winter.

Make sure you give us a wave. On another note, there's a North Wales run on Sunday that may be of interest:

You big girl, the last one I did without roof (ok, heaters were on full pelt) and it was a cold day biggrin

The last one I used £100 worth of fuel, but with my aforementioned 15MPG! You should be able to do it on a little more than 1 tank.

If I hear of anything more local I'll let you know, just starting to attend more things like this so not too knowledgeable at the moment.
