Isn't it an offence to block access to a public highway, therefore call the police and get them to deal with it!

Yes, apparantly so. But would they move it by force ?

Its not an emergency so difficult to phone 999 so you would have to call a local station but wouldn't they just pass it onto the local support officers ?

I'm not agreeing with what the old boy has done, but the judging saying he shouldn't have taken the law into his hands is a bit daft; he must know full well the Police would never have done anything about it had he called and moaned that his garage was blocked.

Personal injury claim as well?! The people who claimed that are surely in the dock for fraud now?! mad
