I'd do it yourself, you'll know it has been packed and handled properly then. Rent a Trannie Van for the day...
Agree with this tbh...Edited by The Crack Fox on Wednesday 17th November 13:52
Delivery drivers tend to be careless dunderheads - if you do it yourself, it'll only be your own fault if it's damaged in transit (van, hah, pun intended...) :P
If you have it couriered, just make sure it is empty of all fluids... then it won't matter what angle they rest it at.
If you leave oil etc in there and tilt it over you'll end up with it in places you don't want it. So my garage told me when we went to collect a secondhand lump for a cab

I've got pics somewhere. But I once drove 250 miles round trip to collect a Landy Tdi engine in the back of a Pug 106
I say go get it yourself.
Likewise me and a mate collected a VR6 engine and that went in the back of a 106, blooooooody hard work that.
I say go get it yourself.
Transit vav and engine hoist is the safer better option.

Alot easier to load when you pop the gas struts off and open the boot all the way and then lower the engine in with a forklift
