Avo damper Spring ratings???

I have some Avo dampers with the standard Griffith spring rates and lengths.(60mm i.d. x 10 inches long)Reds for the front, Yellows for the rear.Can anyone recommend an uprated spring and what poundage? Have been given numbers as in 375 front 300 rear? What would be good for fast road, possible track day,but not too harsh for the road?

Are the Avos adjustable ? if not I would stick with the springs you have as they are probably (hopefully) matched to the valve rates in they dampers. If they are adjustable you should also check that the range of adjustment is correct for the springs you plan to use. 375/300 were the standard rates supplied by Nitron a few years ago for the Griff. Not sure if you are saying you already have 375/300 springs or just the dampers. If so going up 75 lb is a good start. You simply put the front springs on the rear and get some 400s for the front. If you then want another 75 all round you have still only bought 4 springs.

How harsh it feels is always going to be a bit subjective and depend on want tyres you are running and the road surface. I am told that 400/375 is very bumpy on the odd occasion I have a passenger seat fitted but it feels fine to me and could do with being a fair bit stiffer on the track.

I've got standard 275 fronts 200 rears.
Just wondered if it would make it better to have the 375 fronts and 300 rears?
Yes the avo's are adjustable platform and damp rate.
The shocks are probably about 5 years old?

Sorry, cannot help but have you seen the below on the golf club forum? It may have something to do with the extra roof weight they carry of course?
