Just curious- would a stiffer sidewall help when in contact with a pothole?

Dunno, but that energy has to go somewhere, so maybe more likely to get damage in suspension components?

The tyres might be but the rims take the brunt. Have you not heard of all the BMW drivers suffering cracked alloys?

True- energy has to go somewhere. But a good few folk I know with rf's have had no pothole damage for years and swear by them. Pricier though!

I reckon you're better off with normal tyres with a nice big squidgy sidewall. Got to be better than low profile runflats on massive alloys.
