Sweeping a Chimney?

So - wood fire etc - obviously sweep the chimney typically once a year in Autumn.

Gas fire in town, any need to sweep chimney at all? Ever?

Thanks for any ideas - I am leaning towards never for the gas?

It would still need a service and be removed to hoover out any debris that has fallen down the flue.

You still need to sweep it. You'd be amazed at the crap that comes out.
