335i Saloon Exhaust
Discussion
First post on here, having been floating around in the background for years!
I'm currently in Australia and due to the cost of used cars down here, I'll be going car less for a little while.
However, on my return to the UK I'm planning on getting a used 335i saloon, probably arround an 08 or 09 model. Always heard a lot of good things about the x35i engine and really enjoyed my limited experiences of it.
The only thing I'm not too keen on and it's purely cosmetic, is the twin exhausts at either side of the rear valance. I much prefer the standard twin exit on the left hand side as per the 330 and 325.
So with that in mind, is it possible to retro fit the twin pipe set up from the 330/325 or even the BMW perfomance exchaust in the same guise? Or is it more complicated than simply replacing the exhaust and rear valance?
Has anyone on here done this?

Doesn't really bother me that much, just something I was thinking about on a warm sunny day.
If the cost was prohibitive, ie having to re route the exhaust etc then I'm sure I'd cope with the pipes as they are!
Weighing up between the 335 saloon and a 135 coupe anyway, so if I went with the latter it wouldn't be an issue.

Hiya
Anything is possible of course!
You 'could' re-route the exhuast in such a way that if you ever did want to re-sell you could put the original rear silencers/boxes back on again. I can't quite picture the rear valance/bumper of the new 3, but I suspect it's all one big peice. if so, you could get a 330i single outlet bumper put on to give you the complete and more understated look you want. Then 'swap' everything back if you re-sell. You also then have the advantage of selling off the single outlet bumper as well to recoup some of your money. It's not such a strange way of thinking about things really!
Just a thought!
Cheers, Dennis!
