Hi Guys
Looking for my next car early next year and i love the way LP560-4 looks. Advice i am looking for from current/previous owners is the car usable as a daily drive? service costs? etc and anything to look out for before purchasing?

There doees't seem to be much out there at the moment, also speaking to someone at lambo birmingham, alot of early cars were shipped abroad?

Any help and advice would be great

Thanks

Bought a LP560-4 in June having previously owned a 2007 Gallardo. The difference in the 2 models is immense. The 560-4 is far more responsive and seems altogether more "modern". I dont use mine as ever day drive as I commute into London but I did 3000 miles around Europe in 2 weeks in July and it never missed a beat. Get the lifting gear and you can negotiate speed bumps no problem. Very easy to drive so I would say it is practical as every day drive (ignoring the ridiculously small boot!!). The grip of the 4 wheel drive means it is very tractible in rain etc but never tried it in snow so cannot comment. It is also easy to park as quite small compared to (say) the Murcielargo which I guess is a bit too wide for every day use. I would avoid the Superleggera as the seats are not adjustable so become quite uncomfortable after a while. Overall I would recommend - you won't be disappointed!! As an aside allow extra time for journey as you will get lots of attention and filling up with petrol takes an age as everyone wants to talk to you and view the car ( I guess beeing lime green doesn't help). I hope this is of use to you. Let us know if you go for it. Regarding availability I also heard a lot of the early ones went to far east and middle east and dont forget the factory went on short working some time back so I guess that will affect stock. Still it is good for resale value so every cloud ....

Great car, nothing broken yet in 2 years, service seems pretty reasonable. My back gets sore after a couple of hours but that's about it. Sits in traffic fine, personally wouldn't choose it to commute in as it is more hard work than a normal car but the car would happily do it.

Ours has now covered 18k miles in 14 months, serviced at Lamborghini Manchester (who are always exceptionally good) and has been completely reliable. The only items to have been rectified include a broken door handle and support arm for the engine cover (ours is a Spyder). At the last service the clutch on the e gear was showing as just over 20% worn.

The tyres have been replaced twice, on the last change we switched to Michelins and they seem to improve ride comfort and have a better wet weather grip than the Pirellis they replaced. Turn in and steering feel are slightly softer though but the grip is immense.

As an every day I would imagine it would be a bit frustrating due to the heavily offset pedals, the seat also becomes uncomfortable especially in the lower back area. On the right day (sunny) and on a nice road it is a magnificent car.

Ours has proven to be a great club car and I would certainly recommend it but I am not sure that I could live with it as an every day car though.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I have access to other cars so thats not a issue if its not a daily drive.

The lift system, is it standard? or do are many of the cars fitted with it?

I have only had a v8 vantage and this really my first SUPERCAR and basically my DREAM car so want it to be right in every way.

Also noticed alot of them are in white?, i dont mind white but BLACK would be my first choice

Lift is an option, for peace of mind essential imo.

I had a white one with black shiny wheels, and now my wife has a black spyder.

I think the Lambo creased style of bodywork needs light colours
